Sahara and Lava Contemporary Kitchen Planned Around a Compact Layout
Ealing
This Ealing kitchen works within a single self-contained room rather than an open-plan space, and the design uses every wall to keep the centre free. Manhattan Uni melamine resin in Sahara runs along the base units and Lava rises above it across the wall cabinets and tall housings, the lighter shade lifting the upper half of the room. The German-made Nolte furniture comes from the Matrix 800 range, with slim stainless steel look handles and under-cabinet lighting that washes down onto the worktop. Terrazzo flooring brings flecks of colour into an otherwise restrained scheme.
The U-shaped plan puts the sink beneath a wide window looking out over trees, with preparation space to either side and the hob on the return. Dekton Thala Matt runs across all three runs and continues up the cooking wall as a full splashback, with upstands and a matching windowsill tying the room together. A white table sits in the centre of the floor, close enough to the worktop to serve as both a breakfast spot and an extra surface when the kitchen is busy.
Appliances are integrated throughout. A Neff N90 induction hob sits beneath a black glass hood, concealed behind a lift-up wall cabinet, so the cooking wall reads as cabinetry when the extractor is not in use. An N50 Slide & Hide oven and a Hot Air Microwave are stacked at eye level in a tall housing, with a warming drawer below. A full-height run against the far wall holds an N30 60/40 fridge freezer and a tall pull-out larder behind matching doors, while deep pan drawers with oak cutlery inserts sit beneath the hob. A Blanco Andano stainless steel sink and Candor S lever tap complete the washing area.
