Blueberry and Cashmere Nolte Kitchen with a Walk-In Pantry

This London kitchen pairs deep Blueberry lacquer with Lugano painted ash in Cashmere, giving a traditional framed door a more contemporary reading. Blue takes the base units and the island, while Cashmere rises above it across the tall oven housing and wall cabinets, lifting the scheme where it meets the ceiling. The German-made Nolte furniture is drawn from the Matrix 900 and 750 ranges, with brushed brass bar handles, a finish that carries through to the wall lights and the glass pendants hung along the island. Fitted LEDs warm the room through the evening.

The island is the natural centre of the room. Dekton Marina in a matt finish runs across the top and falls to the floor in waterfall ends, its soft veining reading as marble against the blue. A six-zone Siemens induction hob sits flush in the surface, drawing steam down through the centre rather than up into a hood, which keeps the sightline clear towards the garden doors. At the far end the furniture opens into oak-lined shelving holding the family’s cookbooks, with wooden stools pulled up alongside for breakfast. Two Siemens IQ700 ovens in black glass sit at eye level within the Cashmere tall housing, one self-cleaning and one with a built-in microwave, above Nolte graphite interior drawers. A Quooker Flex in brass and a Blanco Silgranit White Etagon sink sit below the window on the back run, where Dekton Marina Matt continues as splashback, upstands, and windowsill.

Behind a pair of barn doors on black ironmongery, a walk-in pantry takes on everything that would otherwise crowd the kitchen, holding a full-height wine cabinet, a coffee station and mixer on Blueberry base units, and oak shelves on black brackets stacked with jars and tins. A separate utility room in Manhattan Uni Platinum Grey handles the laundry, with the washer and dryer stacked into a tall housing, a Blanco Supra stainless steel sink and a Culina mini tap.
