Frequently Asked Questions

Buying a kitchen is a big decision, and it comes with a lot of questions. These are the ones we are asked most often, answered as honestly as we can. If your can't find your questions below, we are always happy to have a chat.

Getting Started

I'm still just looking and don't really know what I want. Is it too early to visit?

Not at all. This is how most people begin. Most people who come to see us have a feeling their kitchen could work better, but no fixed idea of what that looks like yet. Working out what you want is part of what we are here to do. You don't need to have anything decided before you come.

Cost And Value

How much should I budget for a bespoke kitchen?

Our kitchens start at around £20,000, and beyond that the honest answer is that it depends. A kitchen can’t be priced by the metre, and words like "small", "medium" and "large" mean very different things from one house to the next. What moves the number is the size of the room, the materials and finishes, the appliances, and how much building work is involved. After a first consultation, you get a quotation built around your own design, so you’re working from a real figure rather than a guess.

If you want a more detailed sense of the numbers before you visit, our pricing guide sets out what different specifications tend to cost.

Designing Your Kitchen

Should I choose a German or a British kitchen?

It usually comes down to the house and how you want to live in it, as well as your personal aesthetic preferences. When you visit us for an appointment, we’ll show you both and talk through which one best fits your home and your style.

If you want more detail on cabinet sizes, door styles, and finishes, we’ve set the two ranges side by side on our kitchens page.

Installation And Aftercare

Who installs my kitchen, and will I have to manage the trades myself?

You won’t be left coordinating anyone. We manage the project from first design through to completion, which includes arranging and scheduling the trades your kitchen needs, from plumbers and electricians to builders. These aren’t names pulled off a list each time. Most of them have been fitting our kitchens for over a decade and know exactly how we expect the job done. You deal with us from the first day to the last.

Explore Our Stunning Past Kitchen Projects

Whatever you're picturing, a warm, traditional kitchen where the whole family gathers, or something sleeker for entertaining, it starts with how you actually want to live day to day, not with colour or style. Our designers take the time to understand that first, then shape the space around it, not the other way round. We hope our planning guide gives you a helpful starting point for thinking that through, and once you've got a sense of direction, our projects are a good place to see it how ideas have come to life.
